Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Participants of the Promotion agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Free Sample Offer

1) Free sample offer is only open to bona fide fish & chip shops in the UK, contact must be over 18. A bona fide fish & chip shop is classified as a food business registered with the Environmental Health Department of the relevant Local Authority, serving hot fish and chip meals to customers on a take-away or eat-in basis.

2) No purchase necessary.

3) The free sample includes: 1 x 20ltr Bag in Box Sarson's Malt Vinegar, 1 x poster, 1 x sticker & 1 x tent card.

4) Offer limited to first 200 sample requests excluding any shops that have previously received a free 20ltr sample as part of the 2019 campaign. Limited to one sample per outlet. No multiple entries will be accepted. Anyone trying to circumvent this rule by using alternative details will be disqualified from this Promotion. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.

5) Participants must give a valid email address and postal address when entering on the online form and complete all mandatory fields.

6) Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Equally any requests from operators who have previously received a FREE 20ltr sample as part of the 2019 campaign free sample give away will be deemed invalid.

7) Entrants must get permission from their employer before requesting a free sample. The Promoter reserves the right to verify this with the employer and disqualify the entrant if permission is not granted.

8) Free sample will be a 20L Sarson's Carton (Bag-in-Box), branded decal, tent card and A3 poster. It will be sent to the address given (the Promoter accepts no responsibility regarding mis-delivery or failure to receive the free sample).

9) The Promoter will remove this offer once 100 samples have been claimed.

10) Sarson's cannot accept any responsibility for entry forms not received for whatever reason.

11) Sarson's will not enter into communication regarding non fulfilment.

12) Fulfilment for shops still open will be within 12 weeks of submission but may be subject to possible delays due to Covid-19 disruption with suppliers. Fulfilment for shops that are currently closed will be delayed until Covid-19 hospitality restrictions have been lifted.

13) There is no cash alternative.

14) Free sample offer valid until 31/07/20 or once all 200 samples are claimed at which point the request form will be removed from this website.

Free POS Offer

1) Free merchandise includes 1x poster, 1 x sticker and 1 x tent card only (henceforth referred to as merchandise pack). This offer is only open to bona fide fish & chip shops in the UK currently serving Sarson's and contact must be over 18. A bona fide fish & chip shop is classified as a food business registered with the Environmental Health Department of the relevant Local Authority, serving hot fish and chip meals to customers on a take-away or eat-in basis.

2) Offer limited to one merchandise kit per outlet. No multiple entries will be accepted. Anyone trying to circumvent this rule by using alternative details will be disqualified from this Promotion. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.

1) The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any web site, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating and entering in the Promotion.

2) The Promoter shall not be liable for any failure of any third party to fulfil its contractual obligations although the Promoter shall try to minimise the effect of such failures.

3) Please be aware that Mizkan will share your data with Jellybean Creative Solutions and its fulfilment partner for the sole purpose of fulfilling merchandise packs and sample requests only.

4) Personal data provided in relation to this competition will be used in the same way as declared within the Mizkan privacy policy. Please see link for more details.


Proud to Serve Our Community Terms & Conditions

Competition

1) The Sarson's ‘Proud to Serve our Community' Facebook campaign is only open to bona fide fish & chip shops in the UK, contact must be over 18. A bona fide fish & chip shop is classified as a food business registered with the Environmental Health Department of the relevant Local Authority, serving hot fish and chip meals to customers on a take-away or eat-in basis.

2) Fish and chip shops can enter by posting on Facebook using the hashtag #ProudToServeOurCommunity along with mentioning @Sarsonsforchippies and outlining how they are supporting their community during the Covid-19 crisis. Only posts that adhere to these criteria will be considered valid.

3) No purchase necessary.

4) The competition will run until 30th June 2020.

5) No multiple entries will be accepted. Anyone trying to circumvent this rule by using alternative details will be disqualified from this promotion. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.

6) The winners will be chosen by a panel of industry experts with representatives from Sarson's, Hospitality Action and NFFF.

7) The post deemed to highlight the best community support project with the best Facebook post to bring it to life will be the overall winner and five other strong entries will receive runners up prizes.

8) The prizes are: one overall winner will receive a cheque or transfer of £500 to put towards their next wholesaler delivery and five runners-up £200 each.

9) The winners will be responsible for any tax liability associated with the prize money.

10) The list of winners will be available from jessc@jellybeancreative.co.uk from 17th July 2020.

Charity Donation

1) For every valid entry the promoter will donate £5 to the charity Hospitality Action to go towards their Covid-19 support initiative. A valid entry is deemed to be one which is posted on Facebook before 30th June 2020 by a genuine fish & chip shop in the UK, features a community support post, mentioned @Sarsonsforchippies and the hashtag #ProudToServeOurCommunity (see points 1 & 2 of competition T&C’s).

2) The charity donation is capped at £500.

3) The donation will be sent by cheque or bank transfer to Hospitality Action by 10th July.

General
